Texas Forever Continuted . . .

This is how we roll! Lizzy could sit in this chair all day watching movies just as long as she has her sippie and castle blanket. We mainly watch Toy Story and Tangled but we venture out of the norm once in awhile and watch Lion King or UP.

This is her second favorite thing to do, we have a lot of empty cupboards so she just climbs in them and plays. I couldn't find my ipod one time and I found it tucked away in a cupboard that Lizzy had been playing in earlier.
The view from our balcony, the I-45
 another view
Lizzy loves playing on the balcony even though it gets super hot
 Our bedroom
Entryway leading into the dinning room and kitchen

Living room, Lizzy watching Toy Story 3
Lizzy's room (our closet)
 bathroom
 Lizzy's cardboard car that I made/++

This was a very fun activity for me, Lizzy destroyed in soon after I gave it to her.
Watching one of her favorite movies, Tangled.
She was making super cute faces when she was watching it.
 Happy 4th of July!!!
Playing at the pool with the little fountain

Her favorite time of the day BATH TIME!

We were singing I'm so Glad When Daddy Comes Home and she is doing the great big kiss part
Lizzy loves playing Mario Kart with us, she is actually pretty good.

At the pool watching daddy dive for money, He won $50, whoop whoop!
Very sleepy girl

The 4th of July was fun, we went to Galveston the beach town. We ate at Saltgrass Steak House which was really really good and right when we got done the fireworks began down the street so we walked towards them. Lizzy wasn't even watching the fireworks she was more interested in all the people everywhere. We walked along the beach at night and it was really pretty. We went back to the car and was stuck in a traffic jam so James turned on Blades of Glory on his ipad and we watched it pretty much the whole way back.We were all super tired when we got back at like one in the morning, but it was a 4th of July that I probably will not forget.

TEXAS FOREVER

For the summer of 2012 Alan decided (well we both did) that we should go sell Vivint home automation systems, AKA do door to door selling. The special place that we are at is Houston Texas. I was very excited because Alan and just finished watching Friday Night Lights which is about a football town in Texas. We left our sweet little home in Provo Utah on June 10th and arrived in Houston that night. The second we landed I felt humidity like never before. I was instantly sweating profusely!! All I could think is how is it so hot at 9:30 at night? We are actually in Webster TX about 30 minutes from downtown Houston and about 20 minutes away from the ocean. We got to our apartment which is pretty nice, James, Alan's best friend decided to say in our apartment with us so that I could have access to a TV (James brought his) and a car. When we go out onto our balcony the I-45 is our backyard so it gets pretty noisy. We get up at 8:30 almost every morning eat breakfast and watch Phineas and Ferb on Netflix while Alan works remotely for Lifestyle Crafts.  Lizzy and I watch movies or go to the pool while Alan is out selling. He Leaves around 1:30 and gets back at 9:30 pm. It hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be which is really good!! Lizzy just sits and watches either Toy Story 3 or Tangled pretty much all day, at the end of Toy Story 3 she dances around with Buzz and Jessie, it is so cute! We haven't been able to do anything really fun yet but tomorrow is the 4th of July and we are planning on going to Galveston, which is the beach town, they are doing a parade and fireworks on the beach which should be pretty fun, we just need to make sure we wear lots and lots of bug spray because there are millions of mosquitoes, literally!!!!

Some things about TX, never do your hair down because it will look terrible in about 5 minutes. Do not go outside at night for very long other wise you will be eaten alive by mosquitoes. The Walmart here always has lines open it is awesome!! The accent is sweet. The weather here is bipolar, one minute it is beautiful and sunny the next second it is pouring rain, then back to sunshine then thunder and lightning. The street lights are horizontal not vertical and they have side roads to the freeway which are very cool. The roads are white and not black because that would just make the whole state hotter. There are lizards everywhere. The landscape goes tons of buildings then random field for about 1/2 mile then big buildings then field again, there is a lot land in Texas. That was just a few tid bits, more to come. . . .

Alan and I have been married for 3 years now, I cannot believe how quickly life can change! We celebrated in our traditional way by going up to Stein Ericksen Lodge in Park City. It was a well needed vacation. We left Lizzy for 2 days with my mom which was very hard for both of us. We had an amazing time.

Alan graduated from UVU in April with a Bachelors in Marketing. I am so proud of him he worked really hard. He was unable to walk for his graduation because the morning of he had a business trip to Michigan, but we had a celebration when he got home.

I also found out that I will be graduating in December from BYU. I finally see light at the very long dark tunnel. I cannot wait to be done and just be a mom.

Lizzy is almost 1. We are celebrating her birthday with a Little Mermaid party, I think Alan is more excited about it than Lizzy. Lizzy is walked around everywhere and she can say mom, dada, yes and no. Alan and I are amazed every day at how intelligent she is. She is always such a happy and playful little girl. Her favorite thing is getting into mommy's purse, dancing, and reading books. When she wants to read she will pick her book and bring it to you by placing it in your hands then she just waits till you put her on your lap and begin reading. Oh I love her so much.

It is so amazing how much can happen in 3 years. I am more in love with Alan now than I have ever been.

Picture to come. . .

Little Lizzy

I went a little picture crazy with Lizzy but what can I say she is so cute. Lizzy loves her daddy so much especially when he grew out his beard in November.
We have been practicing how to sit up but all Lizzy wants to do is play.
I got her to sit for a little bit and she squeezed out a little smile.
Just chillaxin
cute face
She loves playing with tags

Check out those beautiful blues!

I was studying while Lizzy was napping and I looked over to check on her and I saw her little head peeking over at me. I had no idea she was awake.
She was singing along with Disney songs while we were playing

Reaching for her keys, she is getting so big!

This is how I find her when she wakes up in the morning. I just hope she stays like this.

Oh how I love my girl! She will be 6 months old on December 6th. She is rolling and scooting around everywhere. I cannot believe how fast she is growing, she is very tall like her daddy and she always seems to be happy.

Disneyland 2011

As the last hoora with all of the Sheffer family we decided to go to Disneyland in September. We had a really good time and it was Lizzy's first time going so this was a big deal. It is tradition to get a new mug for my souvenir, the Mickey one is Alan's and the Pluto is mine.
Lizzy was able to go on a lot of rides, her first one was Peter Pan. Her favorite was the new Little Mermaid ride in California Adventure.
This is after everyone went on Grizzly River Rapids, there is Nick, Alan, Julie, Meg, Merrill, and Bert the other two are random people. Amber and I were watching the kids.

Lizzy and Alan in front of the Haunted Holiday Mansion with Nightmare Before Christmas. It was awesome. I think they should leave it that way.
Amber made the cutest Minnie Mouse ears, Lizzy wore them on her 2nd day everyone kept saying how cute she looked.
