Coyote Gulch 2010

More stuff from summer of 2010. Alan and I went to Coyote Gulch with James, Allison, and Preston. It was a lot of fun. We left late at night and it was a long drive mainly because most of the roads were washed out because of flash flooding, but that is what made it an adventure. We had to keep digging and making our own roads, it was really tiring but fun, Alan and James found a triancula and started freaking out, it was pretty funny.
Because of all the flash flooding there were sink holes everywhere. Alan, Preston, and James could fit pretty much their whole bodies in the holes, but they had to keep moving or the mud would begin to harden and it was really hard to get out.
The Gulch was absolutely beautiful, there was no one else there and the water felt fantastic.
So we took the long trek down the gulch.

I believe this is waterfall one.

Waterfall two

Beautiful arches everywhere
The leach!!!

Alan swimming across the leach infested pond. He jumped in and swam as fast as he could so no leached would attach.
Alan checking to make sure no leaches were on him.
Alan peeing
The third and final waterfall. In the picture there is a little cavern, that is the shower but because the flash flooding was so bad the water moved about 5 feet over where it is now in the picture.

LOVE THIS PICTURE!!
As we were hiking out of the gulch stopping to take a rest.

This was one of the washed out roads on the way to the Gulch. we actually almost drove into the hole. It was about 20 feet deep.
Oh it was a very fun adventure, except for the thousands of mosquitoes that came out as we were traveling back to camp. Alan and I had to run the whole way back because we had probably 5-10 mosquitoes on us at all times, it was crazy, stupid us for forgetting the bug spray.
